We had an awesome day today in preschool! After my friends left yesterday, our paras got out LOTS of Little People toys....train track, house, castle, garage and more. When my friend came in this morning they were all excited to see these new toys out. We have all worked very hard this year on learning to play with toys, share with our friends and keep playing with toys for longer then just a few seconds. All of that hard work paid off today! My paras and I just got to sit back and watch in amazement as all of our friends played, interacted and had so much fun for LONG periods of time today! I LOVED it!!!! Enjoy some pictures from today!
Thanks to all the families that were able to make it to our family picnic. The weather turned out perfect!!! It was great to see everyone!

About Me
- Miss Amy
- This is my 4th year teaching in the Gardner-Edgerton School District, however is my 9th year teaching in a special education preschool classroom. I spent my first 5 years teaching in the Olathe School District in an Early Childhood Autism Classroom. I recieved my Bachelor degree in Human Development and Family Life: Children with Autism and Psychology from the University of Kansas in May 2002. I also earned my Masters degree in Early Childhood Special Education from KU in December 2005. In November 2010 I became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst! I love teaching little friends! There is never a dull moment in my classroom! I have 8 nieces and nephews who I love to pieces! Sean, Aubrey, Patrick and baby Brody live in Grandview, MO and Zachary, Tyler, Kayla and baby Braden moved back to Overland Park this summer from Albuquerque, NM. I'm thrilled to have them closer! I spend a lot of my spare time at Jazzercise. I just started taking classes in January 2011 and am hooked! I also spend quite a bit of time with Ty...a little guy I have done home therapy with for 7 years.
